We are looking for a Technical Product Manager with background in software development and previous product management experience.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will work directly with the technical team to provide business intelligence and oversight on development goals. They will actively participate in the development team’s Agile sprint process and work with Product Owners and Scrummasters to create sprint goals, liaise with clients and work with them to specify custom features and provide technical support.

This is a full-time position, based in our Cambridge office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that project vision and strategy are followed throughout the development process
  • Liaise with clients and developers to understand their requirements, ensuring strategic technical and business objectives are met, and to coordinate usability and user-acceptance testing
  • Work with the Research and Development teams to ensure development requirements are met
  • Plan and manage the deployment of our software systems
  • Monitor and report on project status to stakeholders.
  • Track issues and dependencies, and escalate as required

Qualifications and Skills
Technical Product Manager should possess the following:

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or related field
  • 3+ years in a software development role – product management or software developer
  • Agile development experience
  • Proven interest in emerging display technologies, augmented/mixed reality and high performance/parallel computing

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities; ability to come up with solutions for complex business and technical problems
  • Proficiency in developing business requirements, use cases, and user acceptance testing cases/plans
  • Ability to manage multiple activities to aggressive deadlines
  • Strong focus on the design and usability of systems
  • Proficiency MS Office skills
  • Self-starter with a can-do attitude, happy to work in a small business environment and a strong client focus
  • Familiar with all phases of the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering through design, development, deployment, and support
  • Experience working on a team using software development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
